God of War may have had a restart with a more marked focus on history, but that does not mean that he has forgotten his roots; While the restart focuses on Nordic mythology, Kratos originally made a name by confronting the Greek pantheon, but what did it do between the two series? That's what God of War: Fallen God will explore.
Located in the aftermath of God of War 3 - the last of the original series (chronologically), the new mini-series of comics will follow the adventures of Kratos between the two games, explaining how Kratos went from Greece to Norway.
God of War: Fallen God originally exit in 2020 and was the victim of the many delays and problems caused by the CVIV-19 epidemic. The comics will be published by Dark Horse, better known for series like Hellboy, Sin City and The Umbrella Academy, and written by the creator of Izombie Chris Robertson, with works by Tony Parker and Dave Raposa.
We do not yet know how long the series will last, but only that it has been described as a mini-series, so do not expect a batman-esque race or even a longer and complete series like Locke and Key or the sand merchant. What we can expect is a lot of action and violence that have made Kratos a sustainable figure of the video game. We can also see him cross with other pantheons during his trip - after all, Greece is far from Norway and Italy is en route - Roman mythology is perhaps a little too close to Greek for The games, but in a comic book Book all bets are open. It is also likely that we will see more in detail the relationship of Kratos with Laufey, his second wife and mother of Atreus of restart. We will have answers when the first issue will be released on March 10.
